Fontijne Grotnes, a leading supplier of innovative (metal) forming processes, manufacturing equipment and related services, has changed and improved the structure of both the regional sales teams and the product management support teams in order to improve worldwide customer support and specialized product competence.
Dedicated sales teams per region
Starting September 2016, Fontijne Grotnes will be operating with a dedicated sales team, headed by a sales executive per region: North and South America (AMERICAS), Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and Asia Pacific (APAC).
AMERICAS – Mike Walker (Sales Director Americas and Managing Director Fontijne Grotnes Inc.)
Mike has been with the company since 2013. Previously he was Executive Vice President at Hess, the company from which we acquired intellectual property in 2013.
APAC – Erik Blokhuis (Sales Director Asia Pacific)
Erik joined the company July 1st, 2016 and is based in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia). He has extensive experience in high-spec engineered solutions, working for technical global oriented companies.
EMEA – Ad Honders (Sales Director EMEA)
Ad joins the company on September 1st, 2016. He has a broad range of experience in international technology companies. He has fulfilled commercial, technical and managerial roles at companies like Stork and TATA steel.

Specialized competence teams per product line
In order to innovate, optimize and support the sales teams in finding a suitable solution for our customers, we have invested in specialized competence teams per product line with existing highly experienced team members in the Netherlands as well as the USA:
- Automated canning and spinning production lines
- Specialized metal forming equipment for aerospace, forging, oil & gas and automotive applications, like (pipe) expanders, shrinkers and wheel production lines
- Tire wheel assembly lines
- High end forming presses (platen presses) for the polymer processing, rubber and composites industry
- Global Services
Additionally, Jacob van Balen, our previous sales director, has decided to leave Fontijne Grotnes. We want to thank him for the work he has done for the company over the years and wish him similar success in his new endeavours.
